Dave Holt
General Manager Florida Division

Dave has been a leading provider of surveying equipment to Land Surveyors in the state of Florida for almost 40 years. He began repairing chains, tripods and level rods in South Florida in 1977 and a few months later began selling the equipment that took him to Land Surveyors throughout Florida to share his expertise and to provide guidance on equipment acquisition. In 1997 Dave founded GPServ, Inc. as an Authorized Trimble Navigation Survey and Mapping Dealer. Dave holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Florida.

Earl Soeder
Geospatial Sales

Earl Soeder is a licensed Professional Surveyor & Mapper and Registered in Florida and has been surveying for 31 years. Earl has been deeply involved in many aspects of surveying from GPS/Hydrographic to ControlSurveys. His unique experience led him to teaching surveying at University of Miami as well as community colleges throughout Florida. A member of FSMS (Florida Surveying and Mapping Society), he has given back to his profession through education and volunteering in many trade associations. Earl is well versed in all Trimble products from Surveying/Engineering Systems to Mapping grade products.

Dennis Abell
Geospatial Sales

Dennis joined the team in October of 2011. He has 29 years of sales experience in the surveying equipment industry in Florida, as well as 8 years of experience as a rod man, instrument man and party chief while working with a local Land Surveyor. His field experiences include boundary and mapping as well as construction lay-out. His sales experience encompasses all the major brands of land surveying equipment. His last 15 years have been spent providing sales and service to the central Florida area Surveyors.

Jim Robeson
GIS Mapping Solutions

Has over 29 years of experience in the development of Geographic Information Systems in state, county and private Sectors. Jim spent over 10 years working for the State of Florida Department of Environmental protection where he received the prestigious Davis Award from Florida Tax Watch for his work with Global Positioning Systems. Jim became a Trimble Certified Trainer in 1995. He began using Trimble GPS in 1992 and ESRI ArcInfo in 1991. He’s active in the GIS Community throughout the Southeast and is considered a leader in training applications for positioning equipment. Jim is a graduate of Jacksonville State University, Jacksonville, Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Business Computer Information Systems/Geography.

Joe Weaver
Geospatial Sales/Support

Joe Weaver currently holds the position of Sales Manager at GPServ, Inc. Prior to joining GPServ in 2015, he has held the position of Regional Sales Manager for 13 years at Trimble Navigation specializing in GNSS, Optical, Robotics and GIS products. With over 32 years of industry know-how, Joe brings a significant amount of sales experience and technical expertise to our valued customers. Mr. Weaver has been serving the Florida Survey and mapping industry since 1990.

David Newcomer
Geospatial Support/Warranty Sales

David Newcomer is a registered Professional Engineer and a registered Professional Land Surveyor with more than 50 years’ experience.  He spent 20 years in sales and support for Trimble Navigation and Wild Heerburgg where he began using the Global Positioning System (GPS) in 1984.  He has worked in all phases of land surveying and has recently retired from his position as Geodetic Advisor to Florida for the National Geodetic Survey.   Mr. Newcomer has given many presentations on land surveying and geodesy as well as publishing “GPS as a Fast Surveying Tool” in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Journal of Surveying.  He is a member of ASCE.

John Krepp
Construction Sales

John Krepp joined the team in May 2014. He has 32 years of sales experience in the construction and layout equipment industry in Florida, as well as 16 years of experience as an instrument repair tech and sales representative with a local company in Orlando. John has worked as an instrument operator while working with a local Land Surveyor. His field experiences include subdivision, as well as construction layout. His sales experience encompasses most the major brands of laser and optical equipment. Over the past 17 years, John has been providing sales and service support to central Florida area contractors.
